Artist Bio
Bryan studied computer animation for two years at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh prior to his crossover to three-dimensional sculpting in 2003. Bryan’s focus is primarily on the 18th century eastern woodland frontier and he begins each sculpture by thoroughly researching his subjects before sculpting in clay. All sculptures are created with an oil-based clay, and then a rubber and plaster mold are made in order to employ the ancient “lost wax” method of casting bronze. He has sold his work both privately and commercially, and has exhibited from the Adirondacks in New York State to Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky

Artist Statement
“I’m captivated by our rich regional history prior to the American Revolution. The Ohio River Valley held many components that would shape our future country and the world as well. I’m interested in examining the various individuals from each culture and reintroducing their stories to our region today for the simple purpose of educating. “
