The Arts and Culture Alliance is working on a new project for Coshocton County. It’s an extension of the Ohio Quilt Barn Trail, which is currently getting a lot of press in Southeastern Ohio. As a matter of fact, National Geographic’s new Appalachian Trail map highlights this project. click here for trail info
On April 19th we will be holding an Antique Road Show style quilt documentation/appraisal event at the Civic Hall. A selection of old Coshocton family quilts (discovered at the Road Show) will hang at the Pomerene during Dogwood Festival. By compiling histories and collecting patterns from these historic Coshocton quilts, the Coshocton Quilt Barn Trail will distinguish itself by telling a singular story with the goal of bringing visitors to the County. The first spur of the trail will run from Holmes County to the City of Coshocton to Holmes County following State Routes 643 and 83 .
