Cleveland based DANCING WHEELS, a mixed ability professional dance company, is coming to Coshocton to teach and perform for the 3rd Annual Crow Homecoming.
Dancing Wheels is a premier arts and disabilities organization with dancers representing diversity of age, ethnicity, gender and physical ability. The Company embodies the message of equality and accessibility.
HERE’S THE SCHEDULE
FREE dance workshop @ the Coshocton Salvation Army Gym
LEARN from Mary Verdi-Fletcher and other dancers from the company she founded. Mary is the first professional wheelchair dancer in the United States. Born with spina bifida, she offers others with disabilities full and equal access into the world of dance.
The Pomerene Center invites people with and without physical disabilities to register for the workshop. Thanks to an Our Town grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the workshop is free of charge. Space is limited so registration is required.

DANCING IN THE CROWS Parade Performance on Main Street across from the Coshocton County Courthouse
This is the chance for participants from the Dancing Wheels workshop to join other community groups and strut the moves learned earlier in the day for a parade-like performance. Directly after the performance, HiFi Rendezvous will strike up their band and families and friends can join in for a full blown street dance.

Finishing up their time in Coshocton County, DANCING WHEELS will perform in the special events room overlooking the Tuscarawas River. Tickets include a glass of wine (for adults) and appetizers. $15/students $7.50
