Drawing your way through your adventures
CHILDREN, FAMILIES May 11, 2023 Thursdays June 6-27 & July 11-25. 10am. — Inspired by Harold and his purple crayon and other young travelers, we’ll draw our way through adventures on paper, boxes, fabric, walls & walks with pencils, chalk, clay & paint. (What? You can draw with clay & paint?) Each week a new adventure! Join us Thursday mornings in the artPARK. Make sure to register below Children will create a sailboat installation high up on the gallery, a scavenger hunt for other kids, and go home with their own sketchbook and adventure tattoo sleeve. THE FIGHT
September is National Recovery Month. Peter's art — exhibited in the ITM windows 331 Main Street —speaks to the hope of recovery. Bellows' work — in the artPARK next door — speaks of intense struggle. He claimed, “I don’t know anything about boxing. I am just painting two men trying to kill each other.” Life & death/drug vs. human — we think this is a powerful metaphor.
