Dogwood Festival arts residency with Amy Rich
May 7-11, as part of Dogwood Festival 2012, IN UNUSUAL PLACES. We’ve invited artistĀ Amy RichĀ to help 3rd graders throughout the county transform bits and pieces of outgrown clothing into “little story people.” Ā AsĀ Ā the childrenĀ work they’ll have the opportunity to share their our own stories. We’ll emphasize how theirĀ stories are really little histories. Over the weeks following the workshop the “story people” will appear almost magically “In Unexpected Places”-declaring themselves and their student creators as an important part of our community as a whole.

Crow Wall
From coshocton crow dataĀ In collaboration with the new Gund Gallery at Kenyon College and inaugural exhibition artist Diana Cooper (NYC), Kenyon professor Karen Snouffer’s “Painting Redefined” studio class translated Coshocton crow data into art. The panels on display are designed to be enlarged to billboard sized images and āpastedā to a series of raw interior plaster walls clinging to what is now an exterior surface in downtown Coshocton. The design panels will be shown at Gund Gallery in May.
