Pancakes and music. FAMILIER but NEW-ISH.

    October 10, 2025 /

IT’S A SIMPLE IDEA: on Sunday afternoons during homecoming season (September — mid-October) the POM is bringing musicians to the artPARK to perform while the rest of us kick back, eat pancakes and clap. All musicians have two things in common — 1. They live, or have lived, or work in Coshocton County or have friends and family who do. 2. They all write their own music.WE’LL BE SERVING PANCAKES COOKED ON OUR WOOD-FIRED FLATOP GRILLS for a donation. All donations will be used to help fund the upkeep of the artPARK.

    FAKE BEACH

    August 18, 2025 /

You went to the beach right after school was out in early June. Or you just got back from the beach and are already missing the sound of the waves, the wind and the way you felt scoured and soul-cleaned and sun-baked. Or you simply didn’t go. Lots and lots of people don’t. All reasons why a FAKE BEACH (along with a good cruise-in and burnout) is in good order at the end of summer. so we asked ourselves, WHAT DO YOU NEED TO MAKE A BEACH? Are we missing anything essential? Advise: DON’T MISS the artPARK transformed into FAKE BEACH. The schedule looks like this: August 23, 11a-5p SANDCASTLE…

    English Country Dance

    June 20, 2025 /

3rd artPARK STREET DANCE of the SEASON The Pomerene Center for the Arts is excited to announce the return of Susan English to the artPARK to lead the 3rd social street dance of the season — ENGLISH COUNTRY DANCE June 27, 7p.  Think square dance/line dance only earlier in time and channelling Jane Austen. Susan will be joined by Fourpence — Linda Hershberger-Kirk, cello; Stephanie Musselman, keyboard; Mike Deyo, violin; Cid Cayhoe, penny whistle.  The POM was introduced to Susan at a contra dance organized by Dr. Brandon Hill several years back at the Orange Event Center (formerly Blue Ridge Grange). In addition to leading/calling English Country Dance, Susan calls…
