    Pomerene invites families and friends to make lanterns for Miracle on Main Street 2025

    November 7, 2025 /

    Imagine the artPARK transformed during the dark months of November, December, and January into a joyful, seasonal space. Imagine it lit by 30 2-3 ft. softly glowing, silk lanterns that throw clear mandala “snowflake” patterns onto the ground. Imagine a colorful forest-like light space, a quiet space, across from the bustle of the dancing courthouse lights and the new iceskating rink you can barely see — laughter floating, filtered by the distance. Once you have this in your head, imagine working with a team of artists/inventors from Columbus to create those lanterns and parade them to the artPARK as part of Miracle on Main 2025. This is what happens when there’s no place for an accordion player in the local high school marching band and a 16 year old kid pulls a mismatched group of teenagers together so he can play. Beware!
