How to know when it’s time for DOGWOOD! the once-a-year downtown salute to spring Because the dogwoods are blooming, and it’s spring and because music makes life interesting and your heart leap, Pomerene Center for the Arts announces DOGWOOD! lunch concerts an annual event (with two years off for Covid) since 1985. September is National Recovery Month. Peter's art — exhibited in the ITM windows 331 Main Street —speaks to the hope of recovery. Bellows' work — in the artPARK next door — speaks of intense struggle. He claimed, “I don’t know anything about boxing. I am just painting two men trying to kill each other.” Life & death/drug vs. human — we think this is a powerful metaphor.
